AI-Powered Tools
While many of our features at Pepper are powered by AI, none are more obvious than our AI-powered copilot, Casey, and our predictive sales alerts. In this article, we'll walk through the best ways to use our intelligent workstreams, and the ways they can save you time and help you have conversations faster.
Note: The features in this article are for Pro and Enterprise plans of DSR Connect. Please contact customer success if you'd like to upgrade your DSR Connect Service Level.

Sample Questions
To get started with your AI Copilot, try asking it any of these questions to get the conversation started:
Which accounts are past due?
What are my sales at this account for the last week/month/year?
What are my top 5 best selling items each week over the last month?
What are my top 5 selling items by {ingredient}?
Pepper AI-Powered Sales Alerts
Sales alerts notify reps of the customers and items that should be top of their list to go talk to because of an opportunity to gain new business. Available on the account detail page, sales alerts use previous purchase history data to generate suggestions for sales reps.
Sales alerts are updated every two hours, and are calculated from past purchase and customer data. When 'snoozing' alerts, Pepper can configure the amount of time each alert is snoozed for when a rep presses “Acknowledge”, while both which alerts reps get and which reps receive alerts are also available to be configured.
Churn Risk
Churn risks are indicators that a current customer might "churn" and start ordering items from another distributor. A churn risk is generated when a customer:
Have been ordering for at least 3 months
Have ordered at least 5 times total
Current window of not ordering is greater than previous window of not ordering
Lost Item
Lost items are items that a customer had been happily ordering for some time, but recently unexpectedly stopped - indicating that they're likely ordering from another supplier. Lost items are triggered when:
A customer has placed more than 10 orders in the last 90 days
Specific items have been included in 5+ orders in the last 90 days
The number of orders that have been placed WITHOUT the item is more than double their previous historical rate of ordering the item
The last time they ordered the item is greater than the biggest gap in ordering that item before
The last they ordered the item is earlier than their latest orde
Overdue Payments
As a distributor sales rep, one of the most important things you can do is ensure that people are on time with payments. That's why our overdue notification alerts users when a customer:
Has at least one invoice that has a due date that has passed
Doesn’t include credit memos
