What Are Customer Segments?
Customer segments are customizable groups of customers that help you organize who you're serving:
Segments can be based on:
Customer type (independents, chains, retail)
Buying behaviour (produce-heavy, dairy-only, weekly buyers)
Category-specific interest (pizza shops, bakeries, convenience stores)
Geography or delivery routes
Any custom grouping that helps with communication or marketing
Customer segments make it easier to reach the right customers with the right message. When you group customers with similar needs or behaviours, your broadcasts, promotions, and updates become more relevant, while your list stays organized and easier to manage.
How to Create Customer Segments
Step 1: Navigate to the Customer Groups page by clicking the Customers tab in the header, then selecting Customer Groups on the left-hand side.
Step 2: Click the 'Create New' Button and Label your Customer Group
Step 3: Use the search bar to find customers in the left table, and click the arrow next to their name to add them to the group.
Step 4: Once customers are added, click Save Group.
