Notes lets sales reps capture follow-ups, action items, and key account context directly from Sales Hub. The new Notes tab works across every customer in one place, so reps can log and edit a note without digging into an individual account's details page. Reps and their managers get one easy-to-find view of what is happening on each account, and reminders make sure follow-ups don't slip.

Key Benefits

  1. Take a note on any account from one place: The Notes tab works across all of your customers, so there is no need to open each account individually to capture context.

  2. Fewer clicks from your ordering workflow: Notes now lives right where you sell, instead of being tucked within the restaurant selector for each account.

  3. Add a note while deep-diving an account: A note button now lives on the account details page too in the Accounts tab, for when you are already working inside a specific account.

  4. Edit notes in place: Update any note directly from the Notes tab without reopening the account it belongs to.

  5. Set and view reminders from one place: Set a reminder for any account and see all of your reminders together in the Notes tab, no matter which customer they belong to. Each reminder sends a push notification to your phone, so time-sensitive follow-ups stay on your radar.

  6. Shared visibility for managers: Reps and managers can see follow-ups and action items per account, keeping the whole team aligned on what comes next.

How It Works

When to Use Notes

Reps typically reach for Notes to:

  • Log a follow-up or action item after a call, visit, or order

  • Capture key context on an account, such as decision-makers, preferences, or competitive intel

  • Set a reminder for a time-sensitive follow-up so it isn't forgotten

Where to Take a Note

There are two entry points for notes, and both save to the same place:

  • Use the Notes tab when you want to log or review notes across multiple accounts, or capture a quick follow-up without opening a specific customer.

  • Use the Add activity note button when you are already deep-diving a single account from the Accounts tab and want to add context without switching screens.

Accessing the Notes Tab

From the Sales Hub left sidebar, click Notes. The Notes tab opens to your activity across all accounts, ready for you to add a new note or review existing ones.

Adding a Note from the Notes Tab

  1. Open the Notes tab from the left sidebar.

  2. Select the customer the note is about.

  3. Type your note. This is the place for follow-ups, action items, and any context you want to remember or share.

  4. (Optional) Add a Reminder so you get a push notification on your phone when it's time to follow up.

  5. Save the note.

Accessing Notes from an Account

From the Accounts tab in the sales portal, click into the account you want. The account's notes appear on its details page alongside its activity, ready for you to review existing notes or add a new one with the Add activity note button.

Adding a Note from an Account

When you are already deep-diving a specific account, you don't need to leave the page. Click into the account from the Accounts tab in the sales portal, and you will see a new Add activity note button. Click it to capture a note without switching screens. Because you are already inside the account, the note is tied to it automatically.

Editing a Note

Every note is editable directly from the Notes tab. Find the note, open it, make your changes, and save, all without reopening the account it belongs to.

Setting and Viewing Reminders

Reminders work the same way you are used to, now all in one place. Set a reminder on a note for any account, and every reminder you have set shows up together in the Notes tab regardless of which customer it belongs to. When a reminder is due, you will get a push notification on your phone, so follow-ups happen on time.

Things to Know

  • One place for notes across accounts: The Notes tab shows your activity across every customer, so you no longer have to open each account to find or add a note.

  • Two ways to add a note: Use the Notes tab for cross-account note-taking, or the Add activity note button on an account when you are already working inside a specific customer from the Accounts tab.
