Prospecting and selling is more than just a point-in-time transaction - it's a relationship. Pepper's Accounts page give reps a 360 degree analytical view of the account history and how they've interacted with your business over time.
Note: The Accounts page is available to users on any of our Lite, Pro, and Enterprise plans for Sales Hub.
Accounts Tab
The Accounts tab in the Sales Hub left sidebar is the primary place to view and manage account details. All accounts are accessible in one place, where reps can review key metrics, browse items of interest, leave notes, and take action.
Viewing an Account
Select any account from the list to open its detail page. Each account page includes:
Business details — address and other key metadata for the account
Key metrics — total orders, total sales, and average order size, viewable by week, month, or year to date
Items of interest — items the operator has viewed or added to cart but not yet purchased, based on the past 30 days of activity
Notes — notes left by any rep on the account, visible to all reps as a shared source of truth
AR information — accounts receivable details, available for distributors with Payments enabled
Sales Alerts — active alerts for the account, including lost items, churn risk, and overdue payments
Activity — a log of notes and activity left on the account by reps, such as closure schedules or visit reminders
Actions
From an account's detail page, reps can take the following actions using the icons on the right side of the page.
Start Order
Opens the Order Entry page directly for the selected account, with the account and fulfillment details pre-selected to start adding items right away.
Add Activity Note
Add Activity Note opens a note panel for the account so you can capture a follow-up, action item, or key context for the account. Click the Add activity note button to log a note and it automatically appears in the account's Notes and Activity sections, visible to all reps as a shared source of truth. You can also set a reminder on the note to get a push notification on your phone when it is time to follow up.
Employee Management
Opens the Employees page for the account, showing a list of all employees currently associated with it. From here, each employee's status is visible and new employees can be invited to the account.
To invite a new employee, click Invite new employee and fill in their name, mobile number, login email, and communication email. You can also toggle admin access before sending the invite.
Edit Customer
Opens a panel to edit the account's business details, including business name, address, floor/suite/unit, account ID, route/stop, and account notes such as delivery instructions.
Account notes will show on the main account detail view.
View in Operator Mode
Opens the account's storefront order guide exactly as the operator sees it. This is useful for walking through an order with a customer or troubleshooting what they're seeing on their end.
Account Overview (Mobile)
On mobile, account details are also accessible by tapping the gear icon (Manage Account) in the restaurant selector. To access the icon, search for the account and swipe left on the account name.
When searching for an account in the restaurant selector in the web app, the gear icon will be visible beside the account name without swiping.
The Account Overview tab within this view includes:
Historical Purchase Data - last 7, 30, and 60 days of purchase amount with sales comparisons over the previous time period. These values include everything invoiced through Pepper, whether the purchase was made inside the app or elsewhere.
Assigned Sales Rep - the sales rep assigned to an account is displayed in the account header, making it easy to see at a glance who is responsible for the account.
Notes and Account Activity - any rep can leave notes on an account. Notes stay on the account as a shared source of truth, regardless of who owns it. Reps can create notes directly from the note icon at the bottom of the page.
Associated Employees - tapping the employee icon at the bottom of the page shows all active employees associated with the account.
