How Notifications Work

You can send notifications to keep your customers informed about orders, payments, and account activity. Notifications can appear as:

  • Mobile push notifications (on your phone or tablet)

  • In-app alerts (inside the Pepper app)

  • Email notifications

What you see depends on:

  1. Your user type (e.g., Restaurant Admin vs Distributor User)

  2. The notification type:

    • Default: turned on automatically, can usually be turned off

    • Optional: turned off automatically, can be turned on

    • Compulsory: always on in Pepper (only device-level settings can silence them)
