Your catalog is automatically populated through your integration with Pepper. These products are automatically matched with SALT, which provides a strong foundation of product content. In many cases, additional images may be required, such as branded photography, updated packaging photos, or replacements for incorrect images. The Image Uploader tool allows images to be added, generated with AI, reordered, removed, or enhanced with AI for any item, and supports both single item updates and bulk image uploads for larger catalog projects.
For example, when new shipments arrive or when products do not yet have images, photos can be captured on a mobile device or uploaded from a desktop. This ensures operators are shown the accurate product they will receive, improving clarity and order confidence.
This article outlines the process for adding and updating images within PMC.
Why Pictures Matter in a Catalog
Pictures play a big role in helping operators feel confident in what they are buying. When operators can see exactly what they are getting, they move faster, make better decisions, and are more likely to add new items to their order.
Here is how image additions should be approached so that visuals remain helpful and effective for operators.
Do's | Don'ts |
Use clear, well lit photos where the product and label are easy to read | Use blurry, dark, or heavily shadowed images |
Show the actual item you sell, including correct packaging and pack size | Upload generic images that do not match your exact product |
Upload multiple angles when helpful, especially for meat, produce, or unboxed items | Upload multiple identical photos |
Keep the primary image as the strongest and clearest one | Put the best image second or later in the order |
