SALT, Pepper’s Smart Attribute Library and Taxonomy, is the product content engine that powers operator friendly item data across the Pepper platform. It gives distributors access to high quality product information and provides operators with a clear and reliable shopping experience.
What is SALT?
SALT is Pepper’s centralized product attribute library built on GS1 standards. It brings together data from manufacturers, brand owners, and distributor supplied content to create one consistent source of truth for product information. When a catalog connects to Pepper, SALT automatically matches each item to the most complete and accurate data available. It includes images, nutritionals, ingredients, allergens, packaging details, GTIN level metadata, physical attributes and brand/manufacturer information
The library is continuously updated and expanded, giving distributors access to a broad and growing set of high quality product attributes.
