This month’s release introduces new features and enhancements across eCommerce, Payments, and DSR Connect, designed to streamline workflows and drive smarter selling.
Credit Requests (eCommerce)
Distributors and sales reps can now submit and manage credit requests directly in the app, reducing manual work and delays.
Highlights:
Distributors can configure workflows to match their policies, from product eligibility rules to approval steps.
Operators can submit credit requests for missing or incorrect items from mobile or desktop by entering item codes or scanning barcodes.
Credit requests can be completed by attaching invoices, adding notes, and selecting reason codes such as Damaged or Refused Product.

Partial Payments (Payments)
Customers can now pay invoices in multiple installments, offering greater flexibility for operators managing cash flow.
Highlights:
Partial payments on invoices can be made, providing more control over how balances are managed.
Payment status updates automatically across the platform, ensuring accurate records and clear visibility for outstanding payments.
Items of Interest (DSR Connect)
DSRs can now view what products operators have been browsing, clicking, or adding to cart in the past 30 days, giving sales reps a clearer view of customer intent and buying behaviour.
Highlights:
Operator browsing and cart activity can be viewed to understand what customers are interested in, even if items haven’t been purchased. Examples include Tomatoes added to cart, Lettuce viewed from catalog, or Cheese clicked from search results.
Sales opportunities can be identified by recognizing patterns of curiosity or hesitation, such as items that are frequently viewed or added to cart but not ordered.
Insights from the past 30 days of operator activity can be used to guide data-driven conversations, helping DSRs recommend relevant products and close more sales.

Catchweight Price Editing (DSR Connect)
Easily edit prices for products sold by variable weight, such as seafood or meat.
Highlights:
Item-level prices for catchweight products can be edited directly, allowing adjustments based on the actual weight received or sold.
Updates are automatically reflected in order details and analytics
Pricing visibility is improved for both sales reps and back-office teams, helping maintain accuracy in quotes, invoices, and reporting.
Global Profit Metrics (DSR Connect)
A unified view of profitability can be seen in the Pepper app across all order channels, even for orders placed manually or outside the platform.
Highlights:
Data can be synced through the distributor’s ERP system to calculate gross profit percentage (GP%) for both on- and off-platform orders.
Profitability can be compared across sales channels to identify trends and opportunities for margin growth.
That’s a wrap on our October updates!
