What are External Links?

External links point to content that lives outside the current page or application. This is designed to keep key information, such as rebate data, sales reporting, and performance metrics, inside the same platforms used for ordering, browsing items, and managing accounts.

Content used outside of Pepper can be displayed inside PMC and the Pepper App, giving users a single place to access external links. Distributors can choose to share content with everyone, specific groups, or selected employees

Note: Contact your Customer Success Rep, for any requests to add external content.

Common Types of External Content

Pepper can embed many kinds of external content, including:

  • Sales and performance dashboards

  • Purchasing and cost dashboards

  • Rebate or program tracking

  • Margin and pricing reports

  • Custom Holistics dashboards

  • General external links (App only)

Visibility and access can also be configured so only the intended operator groups or teams see the content.

Example Use Case

Rebate insights for operators
A distributor wants operators to access rebate information provided by a partner program. An external link to the rebate portal can be added to the Pepper App, allowing operators to open the rebate site, review available savings, and then return to Pepper to place an order. This keeps the entire workflow in one place while still making external rebate information easy to access.

How to view External Links

  1. In the Pepper app, click on the user initial at the top left corner of your screen.

  2. On the user page, a list of external content will appear each of which can be tapped to open the link.
