Adding Operator Employees

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to add operator employees within your application

Getting your customers onto your app is the first step in going digital with ordering. This article walks through the ways distributors can add their customers to the platform, and how your customers receive those invites.

Note: Customers are only added to your app for users of our Storefront and Finance Hub products. Get in touch with your customer success rep to learn more!

Adding Customers From the App

Step 1: On the home page, click the Accounts drop down at the top. Swipe left to access Account Settings, then tap Manage Account.

On the web version of the app, customers can also be added through the Employees tab in the side menu:

Step 3: At the bottom of the account page, tap the People icon.

Step 4: Tap the + Add employee icon. Then, fill in their Name, Mobile number, Login email, and Communication email. Toggle on 'Admin access' if required, and tap Invite employee.

You have now added a new operator employee πŸŽ‰

Adding Customers From the Admin Center (PMC)

Step 1: In PMC, navigate to the Customers tab. In the Customers section, search for the operator account that the customer is being added to.

Step 2: In the Employees section, click Add:

Step 3: In the Employee information window, fill out the customer's Name, Phone number, Login email, and Communication email. Click Add:

Customer Experience for Invites

Note: Customers only receive a notification when they are added from PMC or the app. Accounts created by a Pepper employee in bulk or through an integration will not receive any email or sms notifications.

When an employee is invited, they will receive one of the following notifications:

  • SMS (mobile only): After clicking Invite employee, the inviter's mobile SMS app will be opened with a pre-filled message to review before hitting send:

  • Email: After clicking Invite employee, an email will automatically be sent if an email was included in the account details.
